Never crossed in my mind before whether this is going to be one of my precious moment I have ever experienced in my life. Indeed, Madrid is a very attractive city to explore and Universidad Autonoma de Madrid; which rank 4th for best university in whole Spain, was a great place to gain – not only knowledge, but also – experiences. Yep, IPIREL UMY sent me here! Here I will share what kind of worth things I did get from there. But I think, it’s apparently a common thing if we discuss about the cultural exchange or international friends. Of course, I got them as well, but now I would like to give another insight.

Firstly, must have I say whether this is a special occasion, because the time I attended the Student Exchange Programme (SEP) was at the same time with the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. Being in the 2nd highest country with the Coronavirus case globally, was a challenge though I passed it anyway. From here, I got a new point of view and I could see how the whole country; the citizens, the medical staffs, the government, even my school – Universidad Autonoma de Madrid – conducted to manage with this problem together. Although they closed the school since the middle of March and started the online course until the end of the semester, I will be honest, they kept the learning activities went proper and well – managed. I also could see the different learning system in which was really different from Indonesia. Despite the pandemic, the memories were nice and all things matter for me. I wish I could go back someday.
