Student Exchange Program
International Program of International Relations (IPIREL) provides the cultural exchange program to broaden the insight and perspectives of the student. By joining this program, the students are expected to learn new cultures and ideas, and living in the tolerance sphere with the local communities. Furthermore, it is the best chance for the student to promote Indonesian cultures and norms globally. Also, IPIREL aims to support and widen the student’s knowledge toward the global and social issue. Therefore, IPIREL provides the student mobility programs for all students of IPIREL, one of them is the transfer credit program.
All active Student of IPIREL are able to join the transfer credit program with associate universities, which are:

- Universitat Jaume I (Spain)
- Universiti Utara Malaysia (Malaysia)
- Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia)
- Khon Kaen University – International College (KKU-IC) (Thailand)
- Thammasat University (Thailand)
- De La Salle University (Philippines)
- Ateneo De Davao University (Philippines)
- Rizal Technological University (Philippines)
- Vietnam National University Hochiminh City (Vietnam)
- Tamkang University (Taiwan)
- Sun Moon University (South Korea)
- Swansea University (UK)
Double Degree Program
Student of IPIREL are able to join the double degree program with partner universities of IPIREL UMY, such as the Flinders University Australia. Students are required to complete four semesters of study in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta for the double degree. IPIREL students will have two degrees, from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the host university. The program will endure one or two-semester study in the partner university. All active students who pass the selection process are eligible to participate in the program.

IPIREL students will have two degrees, from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the host university. The program will endure one or two-semester study in the partner university. All active students who pass the selection process are eligible to participate in the program.
