3 IPIREL Students Represent UMY in IUCC FPCI 2022

Yogyakarta — Sunday (03/04/2022), 3 International Program of International Relations Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IPIREL UMY) students delegated UMY in Indonesia Universities Climate Conference (IUCC) held by Foreign Policy Community Indonesia (FPCI), along with the International Relations Department lecturers, Imam Mahdi and Omi Ongge. The students are Muhammad Faiz Krisnadi (batch 2018), Syahpati Alfatarah (batch 2019), and Muhammad Rezha Zulfachryan Efmanda (batch 2020).

IUCC was conducted in hybrid mode where the in-person meeting hosted in Jakarta (represented by one person from each university), while the rest participants are participated virtually from their respective places nationwide. This first climate-based conference by FPCI was participated by approximately 60 universities in the country, bringing back the bright minds to discuss the critical issue of climate change.

The event was firmly sponsored by the British Embassy in Indonesia as it is part of the UK mission to help Indonesia’s transition to green economy to save the planet. In addition, the conference also attended by several national figures in the related field. The output of the conference was a policy paper which will be submitted to the relevant stakeholders in Indonesia.
